EPA Glass Vials, VOA Vials from Pacific Vial Manufacturing
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates the testing of samples for levels of potentially hazardous elements as part of its program for monitoring the level of environmental contaminants in the US. Both water and soil samples may be required. The glass vials used in storing samples to be analyzed must meet certain EPA requirements.
Glass Vials that meet these requirements are called EPA vials, or sometimes VOA (volatile organic analysis) vials. Pacific Vial sells EPA vials for environmental industry lab use. Flat bottomed EPA vials are available in 20 ml, 40 ml, and 60 ml sizes. These vials are made of chemically inert clear Type I borosilicate 33 expansion glass, or for light sensitive samples, of amber 51 expansion glass. Caps are sold separately.
Quality control is ensured by means of a state of the art glass manufacturing facility that employs a high tech camera system to analyze and spot potential flaws in the vials as they are being manufactured. This system allows Pacific Vial to produce EPA vials without defects that could compromise the quality of test results. In addition to meeting high quality control standards, Pacific Vial's products are priced to deliver great value as well.
